Fire and Ice Hockey is passionate about helping athletes improve and gain confidence in their game. As such, we provide coach skills training and mentoring to help develop strong and effective coaches who can pour into athletes and help improve the game and industry overall. 

Whitney Juszkiewicz is a Master Coach Developer and BC Hockey Coach Mentor. Throughout her career, she has worked with Minor Hockey Associations and other hockey organizations, helping to develop and strengthen coaches in BC. She has customized coach training and mentorship programs, including in-classroom and on-ice instruction. 

 Fire and Ice Hockey Development will work with your organization to create a tailored one—or multi-day coach training program for your team of coaches. Coaches will benefit from in-classroom theory instruction and the opportunity to apply their knowledge on the ice while receiving guidance, tips, and mentorship from Coach Whitney. Coaches will leave the sessions with practical takeaways and techniques they can use while coaching their teams. 

Training will cover the areas you choose to focus on, including foundational instruction techniques, knowledge application, and practical steps to teaching athletes of all abilities. Coaches will walk away with exercises and drills for specific skill development and team tactics for creating successful chains of events. In addition, you’ll learn how to identify areas athletes need help with and how to build practice plans that help those athletes strengthen those skills. 

Whitney Juszkiewicz also offers coach mentoring and instruction via seminars and webinars. She can customize your seminar to include the specific instruction you require for your coaches. In these settings, participants can learn theory and techniques, ask questions, and understand how to apply what they’ve learned on the ice to their athletes. 

In addition, Whitney is available to speak or provide instruction at hockey and coaching conferences and training events.
