Fire and Ice Hockey Development helps teams and individuals gain confidence and practical skills in skating, passing, shooting, puck control, teamwork and overall gameplay. 


Exercises and drills are focussed on game tactics, allowing players to work on specific scenarios they'll face in games and tryouts. Our skills programs help players build a strong foundation and reach their full potential.

Athlete Skill Development Programs & Training Sessions

Whitney Juszkiewicz, Founder of Fire and Ice Hockey Development, is a Master Coach Developer and BC Hockey Coach Mentor. She works with coaches and Minor Hockey Associations to develop and strengthen coaches in British Columbia. 


We develop and deliver in-class and on-ice training sessions to help mentor coaches and provide takeaway techniques they can use.

Whitney can work with you to create a customized program that meets your organization’s specific requirements.  We work with players of all ages and abilities. Fill out our contact form and provide us with the specifics.

REFUND POLICY

Please note that no refunds will be given if a participant withdraws less than 14 days before the start of the first program session. If a player cannot participate for medical reasons and cannot cancel within 14 days of the program’s first session, we require a Doctor’s Note for a full refund. 


There will be a $150 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given for sessions missed during the program.

Fury Summer Academy

Mighty Fury (2016-2018)

$345 plus gst

This specialized program helps younger players build the technical skills, confidence, and foundation they need for ongoing success in the game! Coach Whitney has years of experience helping new players gain the skills and confidence they need to excel. 


Sessions will be held at Planet Ice Coquitlam on Mondays at 4:15 p.m. and Wednesdays at  4:00 p.m., starting June 9, 2025, and lasting three weeks. 


Total 6 hours of ice time over three weeks.

June 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, & 25

Intermediate Fury Academy (2012-2015)

$345 plus gst

Players will work on filling gaps in their skills and learning technical and tactical skills to improve their overall gameplay. This course is perfect for recreational and A-level athletes. Whitney helps players gain the skills and confidence they need to excel. 


Sessions will be held at Planet Ice Coquitlam on Mondays at 5:30 pm, & Wednesdays, at 5:15 pm, starting June 9, 2025, and running for three weeks. 


Total 6 hrs of ice over 3 weeks

June 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, & 25

Elite Fury Academy (2008-2011)

$345 plus gst

Work on advanced technical and tactical skills that improve overall gameplay. Whitney will take players through scoring techniques, developing defensive habits, checking, angling, deception, and moving the puck quickly. This course is perfect for AA or higher level athletes.


Sessions will be held at Planet Ice, Coquitlam on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:00 pm, starting June 10, 2025, and running for three weeks. 


Total 6 hrs of ice over 3 weeks

June 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, & 26
